Wilson, North Carolina is a city in Wilson County. Wilson is approximately 48 miles east of Raleigh and 150 miles west of east coast beaches. Wilson has a population of roughly 48,000. Wilson is home to Barton College, Wilson Community College and the Eastern North Carolina School of the Deaf. Wilson is home to the east coasts largest antique market and the "best plate" of pork barbecue.
