Valdosta apartment and residential living are offered in many types and styles as well as price range. This small community, located 14 miles north of the Florida/Georgia state line, has approximately 50,000 residents in the city limits (over 130,000 people in the metro area). Interstate 95 intersects the area along with I41 and I84. Valdosta is known as "Azalea City" and sponsors many Azalea festivals throughout the season. Valdosta is home to the Moody Airforce base (where President Bush went to flight training school), Valdosta Mall, Valdosta State College, South GA State Normal College for Women, Valdosta Technical College, 2 high schools and Valdosta Regional Airport. In 2005, Valdosta was voted "Titletown USA" by ESPN for winning the most high school and college athletic championships. Great climate and a growing population make this town an attractive place to reside.
