Palatine Village is a high-end suburb outside of Chicao. The median price of all housing units is around $330,000. Rental prices of apartments can be between $800 to $1400. Prices are a little high, but not as high considering the cost of purchasing a home. This town provides access to over 40 parks with walking trails. And if you like golf, the Palatine Hills Golf Course is a popular spot. It's not too far from Chicago, but it's not that close either. So if you're commuting, traffic can be a headache and train stations can be tiresome during the winter months. There are a number of good restaurants in the area, and the urban revitalization is a good selling point. It's attractive and shows a real effort against sprawl. This area is fairly safe, but there are some problems with property crime. Overall, this is a good area for families. If you're single, you'll be bored.
