Overview
(edit)
Grant Ranch is an upper income neighborhood in Littleton, CO that lies 10 miles south of Denver, CO. It's in Arapahoe County. Unfortunately, Littleton gained national attention in 1999 from the Columbine High School massacre. Reporters mistakenly said the school was in Littleton, when it's actually in the city of Columbine, part of Jefferson County. Arapahoe County has about 40,000 residents with a median household income of $55,000. According to reports of 2007, the mean price of all types of housing was $306,563. This neighborhood is named after James B. Ranch who came to the area for gold in 1878. He bought the land that resulted in a successful Cattle Ranch. He even became governor in 1883..

Grant Ranch is an attractive planned community. It has trails, lakes, parks, a tennis court, and community swimming pool. It's situated on 493 acres, 100 of which being reserved green space. It's an area for higher incomes. It's made up of villages with Townhomes, single family houses, and patio homes. There's only one set of apartments called The Park at Lakewood Luxury Apartments. Thus, this a place for home owners unless you want to rent a house. The schools are decent in the area, but not considered the cream of the crop for the state. It's convenient to Denver if you need to commute. Generally a nice area, but lacks interesting culture that you find in the city. But if you like suburbs, it's a good one.
