Dover, Delaware is a city in Kent County and is the Capital and second largest city in Delaware. Dover is located on the St. John's River in the Delaware Coastal Plain. Dover has a relatively low cost of living, making real estate and rental property more affordable than other cities in Delaware. Dover is home to Delaware State University and Wesley College. Dover Air Force Base, Kraft Foods and Proctor & Gamble are the largest employers in Dover. Dover is also home to the Dover International Speedway, which hosts NASCAR stock races two times a year. The Schwartz Center for the Arts hosts performances by the Dover Symphony Orchestra, ballet, theater and classic films. Pickering Beach is approximately 8 miles from Dover and is a great place to relax on a hot summer day. Overall, Dover has a lot to offer people of all ages and is a great place to live.
