Sherwood Forest is Columbia's neighborhood of the mid 1900s. Developed from farmland, its first home still stands on Kilbourne Road. Aside from its excellent residential development, consisting primarily of family style homes, Sherwood Forest also contains the William Gordon Belser Arboretum. Within this neighborhood are several grocery stores, banks and gyms. It is within a short drive of downtown Columbia.

Sherwood Forest is a great place to raise a family. It is close to downtown Columbia and many office parks. Within the neighborhood boundaries are many useful amenities and businesses.
