Little Five Points(L5P) is the intown spot for all things alternative. It is a thriving business area with a wide array of shops and services. Little Five Points is the area where Moreland Avenue, McLendon Avenue, and Euclid Avenue meet. Best known for its rows of off beat shops, trendy bars, interesting and unique music stores, and vintage clothing. Yes, you have to put up with hipsters, but its worth all the trouble considering you have Atlanta's best record store and a little Bohemian used bookstore nearby. For a dusty afternoon of sifting through boxes of records or skimming through odd little novels, Check out Wax N' Facts and A Capella Books. And plan on staying for a while.
Development in and around L5P over the past five years has really stifled the so-called 'alternative' scene. Really, what that means, is that the area has gained more necessity chains and blase residents to match, while long-time staples of the community are fading away. We woke up one morning and 9 Lives was gone! Thanks God for the Star Bar, Acapella and a handful of others. I still spend a lot of time there, but must sigh at the fact that outsiders' first impression when approaching the neighborhood via Moreland is a big Starbucks.

The Little Five Points area is not well served by MARTA bus routes. The #3 Auburn Ave./MLK Jr. Drive bus passes through but the area is only a few blocks from the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA rail station. Routes that pass withing a few blocks of Littel Five Points are: #6 Emory which comes down Moreland from the Emory area and turns on North Avenue(north of LP5) before ending up at the Edgewood/Candler Park station. The #2 Ponce de Leon which crosses Ponce de Leon Avenue, several blocks north of Little 5 Points.
Parking here is somewhat easier than some other intwon shopping districts. Evening parking maybe the the hardest of any time of the day. Parking lots are located in front of several blocks of buildings in LP5. Many of these are business patron only parking. There is a large pay lot on Euclid Avenue. Be careful to observe and obey street signs in the parking areas.
