Overview
(edit)
Asheville is the largest city in Western North Carolina and its growth seems to show no sign of slowing down. With a population of around 80,000 residents, more people are being attracted to Asheville for a better life style. With its growth, apartments in the Asheville area are more plentiful than in the past.
Known as the home to the Biltmore Estate, Asheville and the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains are an outdoorsmen's paradise. Asheville's downtown district has maintained its roots to the past and is graced with a good collection of Art Deco buildings. Combined with its many restaurants and unique shops, downtown Asheville is a wonderful place to spend the day. Year in and year out, Asheville is consistently named as one of the best towns for families and seniors to reside by numerous publications. With its friendly neighborhoods, good school system and a true four season weather pattern, it's easy to see why.
